Located in Segovia, Antioquia, the small Doña Teresa hydroelectric power plant efficiently harnesses the waters of the stream of the same name to generate clean and sustainable energy. With an installed capacity of 8.9 MW, this plant has been in operation since 2017, supplying energy for self-consumption through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to the mining company Aris Mining.
Thanks to its continuous and reliable operation, it also injects surplus energy into the National Interconnected System, represented by Proeléctrica. Doña Teresa is a clear example of how renewable energies can be integrated with industry, generating shared value and reducing the environmental footprint.
