Leading Power Generation in Colombia | Proeléctrica S.A.S. E.S.P.
Our Identity
Proeléctrica S.A.S. E.S.P. has established itself as a reference in the Colombian electricity sector, leading the generation and commercialization of energy with a solid track record, a constant commitment to the development of the country and a vision focused on the future.
Since our founding in 1991, we have played a leading role in the transformation of the Colombian energy sector. We were the first private company authorized to generate energy in the country, by virtue of Decree 700 of 1992, marking a milestone in the opening of the market.
This leadership positions us today as a key player, with plants strategically connected to the National Interconnected System (SIN), which allows us to guarantee a reliable and efficient supply, backed by the Reliability Charge and our active participation in the wholesale market.
We diversify our energy matrix, leading investment initiatives in self-generation projects/plants and distributed generation from renewable energies such as solar photovoltaic and hydroelectric, offering sustainable solutions aligned with the challenges of the energy transition.
Our Purpose and Value Proposition
Our purpose is to generate reliable and competitive energy to contribute to the sustainable development of Colombia and the region.
At Proeléctrica, we go beyond being an energy supplier. We design customized energy solutions, standing out for our reliability, operational efficiency, and commitment to the environment.
We supply the energy our customers need, safely, effectively, and in line with their challenges and expectations.
We are experts in the generation and commercialization of electrical energy through plants connected to the National Interconnected System and other independently operated plants, strategically located to respond to the needs of the system and the end user.
With Proeléctrica, you are not just purchasing energy: you are investing in innovation, support, and a more sustainable energy future.
Our Growth
Proeléctrica continues its expansion process, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the transformation of the Colombian energy sector. The company is moving forward with a comprehensive strategy that combines the development of renewable energy projects such as solar farms and small hydroelectric plants with the modernization of its thermal plants, optimizing the use of fuels such as natural gas to make its operations more efficient and responsible.
This sustained growth reaffirms Proeléctrica's commitment to sustainability, technological innovation, and energy efficiency, adapting to the new challenges of the national electricity system.
One of the company's key differentiators is its proprietary operating model, as the operation and maintenance of its plants are carried out by highly qualified in-house personnel, ensuring high standards of reliability, safety, and technical control at every stage of the process.
With a vision for the future and disciplined execution, Proeléctrica is consolidating a robust, efficient, and flexible energy platform that responds to today's demands while building the sustainable energy system of tomorrow.
